Texas

We met Charlie's family in Texas for a nuclear mini reunion. It was great to see everyone. All the kids are getting so big! We had a chance to get to know Zeke and Colt a little better too. These are my personal pictures so it is the first batch. There will be more to come..

The lake was SO low this year! They hadn't had rain for 3 months. It was about 200 ft lower then the last time we were there. All of the guys were working on getting the deck level off of all the rocks!

We did catch some beautiful sunsets. The first day we were there it was pretty overcast and actually stormed a little. We saw an awesome lightening storm when we were fishing one evening. Don't have any pictures of it. I also need to mention Hannah and i were the only ones that caught fish!! (while charlie and i were there at least). I caught mine within the first few minutes of throwing the line out and it was about 7in. Of course i have no photographic evidence but I assure you its true. Hannah had hooked a big catfish ( i think) and i was trying to help her pull it up but it was so heavy it broke the line!

Of course we went on numerous boat rides and jet ski sessions. Whenever we went to the deck there would surely be a little rugrat who followed us out there. All of the kids loved hanging out on there, feeding the fish, watching everyone fish, trying to catch little fishy's in the net. They were all adorable. Thank goodness Hannah was there! She was so great and helpful with the kids, excellent Aunty.

I was so impressed with how calm, relaxed and smiley Zeke was. He had taken more then one nap on the boat and it was the cutest thing! He must have enjoyed the swaying and rocking because when we were on there he would be asleep in no time.

Psillos brothers felt it was a good idea to climb the roof of the dock and jump off. OF COURSE i missed the actual jump but the whole time they were doing it, it seemed sketchy BUT hey they survived and nothing was broken.

I was sort of disappointed in myself for not taking more pictures but my camera ran out of batteries and then I just started to depend on everyone else for them so this was all i got! I realllly slacked with charlies wakeboarding pictures but I got one good air and one mid fall so that is ok :)

We had a great time. Very short compared to last year but work duties call and charlie had to be back for work on Monday. Thanks again to the Williams for letting us stay there!

Easter

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter! I have been procrastinating a great deal on this blog. I am in the last week of the semester and I have been really pre-occupied with that! On Easter we went to a Padres game at the beautiful PETCO park. Well luckily the park was really nice because they played horribly! Stinking Padres...They played against the Phillies. The game was dull but we had good company.

Although I have no actual garden space I have been exercising my green thumb lately. I have always enjoyed flowers and plants but recently I made it a total hobby and I have grown radish's and carrots! I have also grown herbs like chives, basil, and peppermint for home-made mojitos. I am trying to get strawberries and cucumbers going also..Let you know how that goes! Believe it or not it is simpler then you would think! We have great sunlight from our window so it has been a golden opportunity! I also have my regular decorative plants :) I have an aloe vera cactus which works better on any sunburn then store bought stuff. And my money trees are flourishing so that is a good sign. In spite of this being California these are the only plants I am growing people!!!! I recently bought a new camera so I took a few pictures of my babies. One day I hope to have a real garden! Possibly in Hawaii or Puerto Rico.... :D The last photo is of our front door/walkway!

Ezekiel George Psillos

A few weekends ago we went to visit Charlie's new nephew Zeke. He was adorable and perfect. It was great to see his parents and the new parents Richie and Erin. We can't wait to watch their son grow :)

Baby Zeke

Charlie and I drove up to Lancaster, CA on Monday night to meet Richie and Erin's first son Zeke. Charlie's parents had flown in the day before to come meet him as well.

He was such a great baby! He had a really sweet disposition and didn't hoot and holler too much unless he was getting his clothes changed. He was definitely a little shrimp as Erin said but just a bundle of cuteness who was being passed around by all of us and loving every minute of it. He fell asleep in everyones arms but seemed to enjoy Grandma the best ;-)

He is beautiful and already has so much love!

Kathy took most of the pictures so I only got a few of Charlie holding him. I will post more later once I get my hands on them!

My 24th Birthday

This last superbowl Sunday was my 24th birthday! I had a great weekend thanks to my wonderful boyfriend and great family and friends.

We went down to my parents for dinner on Friday night and my dad not only made us dinner but TWO birthday cakes! He worked so hard and it was all delicious. I am so lucky to be loved so much :)

We then spent the rest of the evening at our friends house which is the night all the pictures were taken!

On Sunday morning we woke up and Charlie ( with the help of a few friends) made a huge delicious breakfast! My cousin and his friend joined us for the day too. Charlie also bought me an orchid ( which I can't believe he remember i asked for weeks before!). After our giant breakfast we skated down to the beach and we played beach volleyball for over an hour. It was SUCH a beautiful day. After we got all wiped from our volleyball session we went out to a restaurant to watch the football game. About halfway through my girlfriend and I decided to go to a store right next door to the restaurant and we shopped a little bit. Came back to the restaurant and I am pretty sure none of the men noticed we were gone. haha.

I think this was one of the best birthday's i have had in the last few years. Thank you to the Williams and Hannah for sending me those excellent birthday cards. And yes Rachel I got a polly pocket ;-) Everyone made me feel so loved and special on my birthday. Thanks :)

CSUSM

Last week I started my first day of school. I am going to CalState San Marcos which is technically still San Diego County but it is about 30 min North and 15 min East of where my parents live. School is going pretty good so far! I say that now because I'm technically not getting homework yet but just lots of reading. I am taking 5 classes and go all day Monday and Wednesday then an hour on Friday. The campus is really nice (probably because it is also relatively new) and easy to get around. My classes are pretty good too. I am taking a few teaching prep course's then some basic GE stuff. Overall I think i will be fine and content with the school.

Everyone is having such important chapters in their lives right now ( EVERYONES HAVING BABIES!!!) so I thought I would let everyone know what we are up to even though it is not nearly as exciting as everyone else's business :)

Other then school Charlie is working an average of 40 hours a week and surfing as much as he can! The weather here has been beautiful and we actually went to the beach over the weekend and i was able to hang on the beach in a swimsuit! Quite the contrast to the East Coast where there is SO much snow.

Thats all for now!
