I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter! I have been procrastinating a great deal on this blog. I am in the last week of the semester and I have been really pre-occupied with that! On Easter we went to a Padres game at the beautiful PETCO park. Well luckily the park was really nice because they played horribly! Stinking Padres...They played against the Phillies. The game was dull but we had good company.
Although I have no actual garden space I have been exercising my green thumb lately. I have always enjoyed flowers and plants but recently I made it a total hobby and I have grown radish's and carrots! I have also grown herbs like chives, basil, and peppermint for home-made mojitos. I am trying to get strawberries and cucumbers going also..Let you know how that goes! Believe it or not it is simpler then you would think! We have great sunlight from our window so it has been a golden opportunity! I also have my regular decorative plants :) I have an aloe vera cactus which works better on any sunburn then store bought stuff. And my money trees are flourishing so that is a good sign. In spite of this being California these are the only plants I am growing people!!!! I recently bought a new camera so I took a few pictures of my babies. One day I hope to have a real garden! Possibly in Hawaii or Puerto Rico.... :D The last photo is of our front door/walkway!

Baby Zeke
Charlie and I drove up to Lancaster, CA on Monday night to meet Richie and Erin's first son Zeke. Charlie's parents had flown in the day before to come meet him as well.
He was such a great baby! He had a really sweet disposition and didn't hoot and holler too much unless he was getting his clothes changed. He was definitely a little shrimp as Erin said but just a bundle of cuteness who was being passed around by all of us and loving every minute of it. He fell asleep in everyones arms but seemed to enjoy Grandma the best ;-)
He is beautiful and already has so much love!
Kathy took most of the pictures so I only got a few of Charlie holding him. I will post more later once I get my hands on them!

My 24th Birthday
This last superbowl Sunday was my 24th birthday! I had a great weekend thanks to my wonderful boyfriend and great family and friends.
We went down to my parents for dinner on Friday night and my dad not only made us dinner but TWO birthday cakes! He worked so hard and it was all delicious. I am so lucky to be loved so much :)
We then spent the rest of the evening at our friends house which is the night all the pictures were taken!
On Sunday morning we woke up and Charlie ( with the help of a few friends) made a huge delicious breakfast! My cousin and his friend joined us for the day too. Charlie also bought me an orchid ( which I can't believe he remember i asked for weeks before!). After our giant breakfast we skated down to the beach and we played beach volleyball for over an hour. It was SUCH a beautiful day. After we got all wiped from our volleyball session we went out to a restaurant to watch the football game. About halfway through my girlfriend and I decided to go to a store right next door to the restaurant and we shopped a little bit. Came back to the restaurant and I am pretty sure none of the men noticed we were gone. haha.
I think this was one of the best birthday's i have had in the last few years. Thank you to the Williams and Hannah for sending me those excellent birthday cards. And yes Rachel I got a polly pocket ;-) Everyone made me feel so loved and special on my birthday. Thanks :)

CSUSM
Last week I started my first day of school. I am going to CalState San Marcos which is technically still San Diego County but it is about 30 min North and 15 min East of where my parents live. School is going pretty good so far! I say that now because I'm technically not getting homework yet but just lots of reading. I am taking 5 classes and go all day Monday and Wednesday then an hour on Friday. The campus is really nice (probably because it is also relatively new) and easy to get around. My classes are pretty good too. I am taking a few teaching prep course's then some basic GE stuff. Overall I think i will be fine and content with the school.
Everyone is having such important chapters in their lives right now ( EVERYONES HAVING BABIES!!!) so I thought I would let everyone know what we are up to even though it is not nearly as exciting as everyone else's business :)
Other then school Charlie is working an average of 40 hours a week and surfing as much as he can! The weather here has been beautiful and we actually went to the beach over the weekend and i was able to hang on the beach in a swimsuit! Quite the contrast to the East Coast where there is SO much snow.
Thats all for now!

Update
I have been slacking on putting an update on here because we have just been getting settled in!
As far as our actual moving day went it was pretty smooth. The weather was good and we got a good deal on a truck and two guys to help us move. It only took us a few hours. We found a couch on Craigslist and other then getting a microwave and a coffee table we have everything we need! My wonderful parents got us a George Foreman grill, kitchen supplies, blender and my mom took us to Costco and now we have enough food till the summer!! We bought a Playstation3 and we have been loving it!
Tomorrow I go to my orientation for school and schedule my classes. Then school starts the following week! I am anxious and excited to get started.
I have a few pictures of our place! They are taken from my phone so they are not the best quality but I will have more coming.
Charlie cooking in our kitchen! Because we have so much food we have been doing A LOT of cooking. Nothing fancy but yummy :) We are having fun with the independence.
Here is a view of the sunset from our bedroom window. I was informed it is a "peekaboo view" of the water. Good enough for me!
Living room area..
Probably one of my favorite things about this place is the bathroom! It is newly remodeled, clean, fairly big and i love the tiles! We looked at a few other places and in the end it was trying to decide between a back patio area with a HORRID bathroom or this place with the nice bathroom and no outside space. Charlie let me make the final choice :)
Last but not least the bedroom! I had trouble getting a good picture of the full room with lighting and the angles but this pictures give an idea of the setup!
We have said hello to a few of our neighbors but we don't know them by name yet. It is fairly quite here at night. We are RIGHT across the street from a high school so I think that helps with the keeping the noise level down at night. We have been taking walks to the beach at sunset and it doesn't even take us 10 minutes to get down there! We are starting to get to know the area, restaurants, shops and just things to do around here. We are also walking distance from the movies and a surf museum! How perfect right?
Charlie has been working a lot! I pretty much unpacked all of our stuff because he has been working so much! My cousin got him a job in an office cleaning, answering phones filling and what not. He seems to like it enough.
We are so happy.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!!
